9.3 National safety requirements

All EU Members States are entitled to make certain adjustments to European regulations. For example, every EU Member State can specify zones in which UAS are and are not allowed to fly.

The same applies to safety measures, as Member States are allowed to impose their own requirements on operations with UAS that differ from those in other countries. Before a flight, it is always important to check whether the UAS is allowed to fly at the location and which rules/restrictions apply there.
