2.3 Airspace restrictions

Regardless of the airspace class an aircraft is flying in, airspace restrictions apply in many areas of the airspace. These Airspace Restrictions can be found in the AIP.

A distinction is made between the following restrictions:

  • Prohibited (EGP): an area in which flight is prohibited under specific rules and during specific times;
  • Restricted (EGR): an area in which flight is allowed under specific rules and during specific times;
