2.5 Summary
The International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO, see Chapter 3) prescribes that all air traffic must use the same ICAO charts with a scale of 1:500,000 (1 centimetre equals 5 kilometres). As a result, the map of the Netherlands fits seamlessly with, for example, the map of Germany. On top of that, all charts use the same units, colours and symbols, as prescribed by ICAO.
See chapter 2.5 for a summary.
