7.3 SUMMARY

Privacy

European privacy legislation does not apply to private citizens, which means that you are allowed to take photos of other people in public areas, just as others are allowed to take photos of you and put them online. Secretly taking pictures or recording video in non-public areas is, however, not allowed.
