6.3 | VISUAL PERCEPTION AND SIGHT 

In daily life, and therefore also when flying, visual perception is our main source of information. The human body uses the eyes for visual perception. The actual visual perception of, for example, an object is effected by two parts:

  • Optical part: The mechanical action of the lens ensures the correct projection of light.  
  • Neurological part: The incident light is converted into electrical impulses.
