4.6 | JPG AND RAW 

As already briefly touched on in Section 4.3, you can store images in a variety of file formats. RAW images are based on the stored 'raw' (unprocessed) data. However, RAW is not a file extension but a collective name for all kinds of extensions. In fact, each type of camera has different names for the RAW files. Below are the most common ones:.

  • Canon: .CR2
  • Nikon: .NEF
  • Sony: .ARW
  • DJI: .DNG
