A sensor's sensitivity to light is expressed as a certain ISO value. The more sensitive a particular sensor is to light, the better the sensor can capture the light. The higher the set ISO value, the more sensitive the sensor becomes to light. So this also means that the higher the ISO value, the less time it takes for light to reach the camera to create a properly exposed image.
