3.2 | THE EFFECTS OF WEATHER ON AN UNMANNED AIRCRAFT

Weather conditions can greatly affect the performance of an aircraft. Most of the weather conditions you face as a pilot are wind, temperature, visibility, air density and solar activity. Each circumstance has its own specific influence.

3.2.1      Air pressure and air density

3.2.2     Wind

  • in a high-pressure area rotates clockwise
  • in a low-pressure area rotates counter-clockwise

For the southern hemisphere, the opposite is true.
