3.3 | OBTAINING WEATHER INFORMATION
For many, weather forecasts from television, radio and the Web are sufficient. But in aviation, timely and accurate forecasts are required that, above all, provide more information about the state of the air through which the aircraft is flying. For small aircraft operating close to the ground, a simple forecast may be sufficient. In many cases, however, a more accurate and timely forecast will allow a flight to be effectively executed or cancelled without much disruption.
