Flying drones will be subject to the same rules throughout the European Union from 1 January 2021. Please note that each member state of the European Union has some freedom to add supplementary restrictions to the rules. However, relaxing the rules is not permitted!
European rules are based on the risk involved in a given drone flight. This is classed in three risk categories:
