1.2 | THE BASIC RULES FOR FLYING DRONES

The above means that if you are flying a drone lighter than 250 grams, completing the training and passing the exam for the EU Drone Licence A1/A3 is not mandatory. However, some important basic rules apply to ensure that you are able to fly a drone lighter than 250 grams in the Open category safely and responsibly. Below we have set out the most important rules.

1. You must be at least 16 years old to fly a drone.
2. You should never fly in the dark and/or at night.
3. Never fly over crowds of people.
