2.8 | CONTROLLING THE UNMANNED AIRCRAFT AND SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS 

Flying an unmanned aircraft is subject to a number of risks regarding the device itself that must be considered. This involves the following:

  • Checking operation of systems
  • Securing the load
  • Rotor shielding
  • Properly storing batteries

As described in the section on procedures, as a pilot, you should always check full operation of all systems of the unmanned aircraft prior to flight and in the initial flight phase. Below, these steps are reiterated:
