4.3 | VISUAL PERCEPTION AND VISION

In daily life, and thus also while flying, visual perception is our greatest source of information. The human body uses the eyes for visual perception. The actual visual perception of an object, for example, comes about through two parts:

  1. Optical section: the mechanical action of the lens ensures correct projection of light.  
  2. Neurological section: the incident light is converted into electrical impulses.
