5.6 | THE MAIN COMPONENTS OF AN UNMANNED AIRCRAFT

A pilot is expected to be familiar with the manual of the unmanned aircraft he is flying. Such a manual discusses various components of the unmanned aircraft.

5.6.1      General components

The general components of both fixed wing and multi-rotor aircraft are shown in figures 13 and 14.

Multiple rotor

  1. Propeller: generates lift, propulsion and rotation.  
  2. Sensors: some multirotors have sensors to detect obstacles.
