5.8 | INSPECTING THE UNMANNED AIRCRAFT AND SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS

When flying an unmanned aircraft, there are a number of risks with respect to the aircraft itself that must be considered. These include the following:

  • Checking the operation of systems
  • Securing the load
  • Shielding of the rotors
  • Storing batteries correctly (see section 5.6.4)
  • Perform the pre-flight checks.
  • Ascend slowly to an altitude of approximately two meters.
  • Check the operation of the GNSS signals and other sensors.
