The remote pilot must bear responsibility for the actions for which he/she is certified. This means, amongst other things, that the remote pilot must be in possession of all documents required to operate the flight under the license or certificate. In addition, the remote pilot must keep logbooks and is responsible for reporting incidents within the 72-hour period.
