8.7.1 Airspace observer responsabilities - Aerial Observer (AO)

The deployment of AOs is not limited to operations covered by STSs - they can also be deployed in other operations that fall under the "specific" category. The main responsibilities of the AO are:

  1. maintain a thorough visual scan of the airspace around the unmanned aerial vehicle (UA) to identify any risk of collision with a manned aircraft;
